The hat shown on the model below is 7 3/4...
To make this extra large size, in this particular "V" style,
the manufacturer needs to expand the the hat opening a bit.
This simply means the taper of the hat on the models head is slightly bigger at the bottom
than any other smaller sized hats in this" V" style...
(smaller sizes than shown on the model, the taper is straight no bump around the bottom.)
They don't get any more realistic than this my friends!
